This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Assist patients in understanding their care journey and making informed decisions regarding treatment.
• Attend designated patient appointments with clinicians to aid in education and decision-making for subsequent steps.
• Clarify home sleep testing (HST), oral appliance therapy (OAT), PAP, and various other care pathways.
• Reinforce recommendations from clinicians while abstaining from providing independent clinical advice.
• Address non-clinical inquiries related to care processes, treatment pathways, insurance, costs, and logistics.
• Identify and resolve obstacles to recommended care.
• Provide education to patients concerning HST, insurance verification, and potential financial obligations.
• Initiate and transition necessary next steps to Diagnostic Administration.
• Monitor incomplete next steps and proactively engage with patients.
• Participate in appointments concerning HST results and treatment planning.
• Describe treatment logistics, insurance coverage, out-of-pocket expenses, financing/payment options, and next steps.
• Guide patients in making treatment decisions and follow up with those who are undecided.
• Transfer accepted treatments to Treatment Administration for fulfillment.
• Manage assigned patients through critical decision points.
• Conduct outreach via phone, SMS, and other approved channels.
• Accurately document conversations, decisions, objections, and follow-ups.
• Collaborate with Diagnostic Administration, Treatment Administration, clinicians, and other teams.
• Properly escalate clinical, insurance, and operational issues as needed.
• Facilitate patient progression and conversion while ensuring a patient-first experience.
• Experience in patient care coordination, healthcare navigation, inside sales, patient conversion, customer success, or a related patient-facing role.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable engaging in high-volume patient conversations via phone and SMS.
• Confidently and empathetically discuss financial information and treatment costs.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Capable of managing multiple patients and follow-up workflows simultaneously.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced environment where processes and responsibilities are subject to change.
• Experience in sleep medicine, dental care, telehealth, DME, insurance-driven healthcare, or another high-consideration healthcare service is advantageous.
• Ability to clearly and confidently explain complex processes.
• Comfortable discussing costs and financial responsibilities.
• Understanding the difference between supporting a clinical recommendation and making one.
• Skilled at uncovering and appropriately addressing reasons behind patient hesitation.
• Able to drive toward a definitive next step.
• Capable of managing a substantial active patient caseload.
