Cardiovascular Program Specialist – Northeast

📋 Description

• Deliver specialized clinical assistance, educational support, and training to physicians, nurses, and hospital personnel regarding da Vinci cardiac surgery, devices, and therapies.

• Provide on-site case assistance in operating rooms or hybrid ORs during robotic cardiac surgery procedures.

• Assist with product setup, troubleshoot issues, ensure optimal usage, and maintain compliance with clinical and safety protocols during live procedures.

• Collaborate with the Cardiovascular Sales Manager to develop a training pipeline for new surgeons and broaden the user base.

• Facilitate the adoption of Multiport, Single Port, digital solutions, instruments, and accessories.

• Work with cross-functional teams to enhance the utilization of the da Vinci Surgical System and strengthen partnerships with healthcare facilities.

• Conduct training sessions for physicians and care teams on robotic platform indications and appropriate usage.

• Provide customized on-site training for surgeons and care teams and organize mentorship programs.

• Support new site start-ups through onboarding initiatives and in-service training.

• Offer continuous education, product updates, ongoing care-team training, and tailored da Vinci pathways.

• Be available for after-hours cases and weekends as necessary.

• Collaborate with sales, leadership, customer training, and business teams to implement clinical plans and achieve system autonomy.

• Share clinical insights with the commercial team to inform strategy and drive business growth.

• Engage in physician education programs, workshops, and regional/national conferences.

• Promote the adoption of digital solutions and partner with ancillary equipment manufacturers.

• Gather and relay customer feedback to sales, marketing, and R&D teams.

• Keep abreast of clinical literature, competitive products, and evolving treatment guidelines.

• Assist with clinical trials as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside or be willing to relocate near a major airport in the Northeast region, such as Boston, Philadelphia, or New York City.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac-related clinical role is required.

• Prior experience in cardiac surgery is preferred, as well as expertise in electrophysiology or interventional cardiology.

• Experience as a physician assistant or surgical nurse along with medical device industry experience is highly desirable.

• A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in nursing, life sciences, business, or a related field.

• Advanced clinical credentials such as RN, PA, NP, RT, or other relevant clinical certifications are preferred.

• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures is essential.

• Familiarity with standard hospital policies is necessary.

• Outstanding communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills are required.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities are crucial.

• Ability to thrive in high-pressure OR/Cath Lab environments is essential.

• Must be adaptable to new technologies and complex procedures.

• Team-oriented with a commercial mindset.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% domestically is necessary.

• May need to provide current proof of vaccination against certain diseases, including COVID-19.

• Must meet applicable U.S. export-control requirements, which may include export-license or Technology Control Plan requirements.
