Cardiovascular Program Specialist – Northeast

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Deliver expert clinical assistance, education, and training to physicians, nurses, and hospital personnel regarding da Vinci cardiac surgery devices and therapies.

• Offer on-site case support in operating rooms or hybrid ORs for robotic cardiac procedures.

• Aid in product setup, troubleshooting, and optimal usage during live cases.

• Ensure adherence to clinical and safety protocols.

• Collaborate with the Cardiovascular Sales Manager to broaden the user base and develop a training pipeline for new surgeons.

• Facilitate the adoption of da Vinci Multiport, Single Port, and digital solutions.

• Promote advanced instruments and accessories to improve surgical performance and enhance surgeon autonomy.

• Work alongside internal cross-functional teams to increase the utilization of da Vinci Surgical Systems and strengthen partnerships with healthcare facilities.

• Conduct training for physicians and care teams on robotic platform indications and appropriate usage.

• Provide customized on-site training for surgeons and care teams while assisting in organizing mentoring programs.

• Support new-site launches through onboarding programs and in-service training.

• Offer ongoing education and updates on products.

• Design and implement personalized da Vinci pathways for surgeons and surgical teams.

• Provide recurrent training for care teams as necessary.

• Support after-hours and weekend cases as required by territorial adoption.

• Collaborate with sales, leadership, customer training, and business teams to implement clinical strategies and achieve system autonomy.

• Share clinical insights to influence commercial strategy and drive business growth.

• Engage in physician education programs, workshops, and regional/national conferences.

• Enhance customer infrastructure and capabilities to facilitate the adoption of digital solutions.

• Partner with manufacturers of ancillary equipment to develop strategies for programmatic success.

• Gather and relay customer feedback to sales, marketing, and R&D.

• Remain updated on clinical literature, competitive products, and evolving treatment guidelines.

• Assist with clinical trial support when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside or be willing to relocate near a major airport in the New York, Boston, or Philadelphia area.

• A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a science or business field.

• A bachelor's degree in nursing, Life Sciences, or a related discipline is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac surgery (CVOR) is necessary.

• Experience as a Physician Assistant or First Assist is highly preferred.

• Industry experience is strongly preferred.

• Advanced clinical credentials such as RN, PA, NP, or RT are preferred.

• A comprehensive understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures is essential.

• Familiarity with typical hospital policies is required.

• Exceptional communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills are necessary.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities are required.

• Ability to function in high-pressure environments like the OR/Cath lab is essential.

• Adaptability to changing technologies and complex procedures is crucial.

• Team-oriented with a commercial mindset.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% domestically is required.

• May be required to provide current proof of vaccination against certain diseases, including COVID-19.

• Must meet applicable U.S. export-control requirements if relevant.
