This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Evaluate and diagnose the existing business landscape in designated accounts for Amgen Cardiovascular products.
• Strategize and implement actions to achieve success within assigned accounts.
• Collaborate internally with matrix teams and externally with clients to foster strong relationships.
• Act as the strategic lead for designated key accounts.
• Implement compliant, innovative strategies to engage priority providers.
• Ensure institutional availability in both inpatient and outpatient care environments.
• Spearhead initiatives that promote sustainable institution/system utilization.
• Develop and implement thorough account plans that align with the cardiovascular business strategy.
• Partner with field teams and medical science liaisons.
• Engage with opinion leaders and decision-makers in cardiology, lipidology, pharmacy, and P&T committees.
• Deliver MAC-approved data and messaging while adhering to governing policies.
• Promote appropriate utilization of approved cardiovascular products and coordinate pull-through and access initiatives.
• Monitor account performance and shifts in market dynamics.
• Identify obstacles and coordinate pull-through initiatives across field teams.
• Oversee Amgen home-office engagement, approved programs, displays, and hospital initiatives.
• Cultivate professional relationships with hospital pharmacy, clinical, quality, and finance decision-makers.
• Collaborate with Access Specialists to facilitate portfolio access.
• Supply field intelligence, insights, and recommendations to analytics, brand, and market access teams.
• Doctorate degree with 2 years of sales experience and/or related account management experience, or Master’s degree with 4 years of sales experience and/or related account management experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of sales experience and/or related account management experience.
• At least 3 years of account management and/or public payer experience is strongly preferred.
• Advanced degree (e.g., MPH, MBA, PharmD, etc.) with 7+ years of healthcare sales and/or marketing experience or related experience in buying processes and decision-making is preferred.
• Experience in clinic, hospital, dyslipidemia, heart failure, access environments, applicable competitors, and the industry is preferred.
• Cardiology experience, including dyslipidemia, heart failure, and acute coronary syndromes, is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of current trends and environments in community cardiology practices.
• Insight into internal and external dynamics affecting dyslipidemia and heart failure.
• District Management Experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with hospital committee structures, P&T processes, treatment and discharge protocols, DRG, and hospital reimbursement processes.
• Functional knowledge of Medicare and other government agencies.
• Understanding of payer systems.
• Knowledge of CMS policies and processes.
• Proven ability to collaborate with the sales force to address payer-related issues.
• Leadership capabilities focused on influence, impact, and leading without authority.
• Ability to identify key personnel and departments that influence biopharmaceutical product utilization and maintain relationships with decision-makers.
• Capability to identify and secure appropriate Amgen resources to meet account objectives.
• Proficiency in analyzing clinic economics/financial performance and various data sources.
• Exceptional interpersonal, networking, influencing, negotiation, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities.
