This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Achieve sales targets and act as the primary point of accountability for the effective launch in the designated territory.
• Formulate territory-specific account strategies to identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities.
• Collaborate with a local integrated field team consisting of medical, payer, and patient navigation/support colleagues.
• Act as a subject matter expert and resource for customers by providing clinically relevant information regarding diseases and products.
• Generate demand for the product launch.
• Share approved resources with healthcare professionals, including marketing materials, payer information, formulary coverage, patient support services, and educational programs.
• Identify and cultivate business relationships with strategic Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), hospitals, cardiology clinics, and specialty pharmacies.
• Position Cytokinetics as a valuable resource within customer care environments.
• A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical sales is essential.
• Experience as a representative with complete ownership of the territory is strongly preferred.
• Background in cardiology, rare disease, or specialty products is preferred.
• Experience in launching specialty products is preferred.
• Familiarity with patient service hubs and specialty pharmacy distribution is preferred.
• Knowledge of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and key accounts within the assigned territory is preferred.
• Proficiency in evaluating market trends within the territory and strategic planning that drives results and surpasses sales goals is required.
• Experience in selling to complex accounts, identifying influential stakeholders, and addressing patient needs is required.
• Clinical insight with a strong commitment to understanding and advocating for the needs of customers and patients is required.
• Agreement to credentialing requirements for access to academic institutions, medical facilities, and organizations in the assigned territory is required.
• Willingness and capacity to travel overnight 25% to 75%, based on business requirements and geographical considerations, is necessary.
• A satisfactory driving record and a valid driver's license are required to operate a company vehicle.
