Cardiologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in the analysis of ECGs, Holters, Patch and stress test data, blood pressure variability assessments, and other pertinent metrics to produce endpoint data for clients.

• Contribute to the procedures of the ECG and Blood Pressure core lab to enhance ECG interpretation, ensure data consistency, and improve efficiency.

• Examine cardiology edit checks and take part in the Cardiologist QA program.

• Allocate cardiologists to Expert protocols or consulting assignments as required.

• Supervise the training and quality assurance of subcontracted cardiologists.

• Offer scientific knowledge and support to pharmaceutical sponsors across consulting services, including protocol design and development, statistical analysis plans, expert report composition, and regulatory representation.

• Represent Clario in client discussions regarding Cardiac Solutions+ strategies and expanded digital endpoints.

• Collaborate with other departments on cardiology matters, cardiologist activities, cardiac solutions, safety consulting, and compliance strategies.

• Provide support for clinical consulting related to other Digital Physiology and Clario endpoints and therapeutic area strategies.

• Create and sustain Cardiac Solutions+ policies and procedures, including Cardiology Review Guidelines and SOPs.

• Stay updated on scientific advancements in cardiac safety and efficacy, and educate internal stakeholders accordingly.

• Collaborate with Sales to offer sales support.

• Assist Product Management and Development with EXPERT and other Clario systems, as well as third-party medical device assessments.

• Facilitate meetings and research partnerships with regulatory authorities.

• Aid in statistical innovation and research, sponsor interactions concerning statistical design and analysis, and strategic initiatives across business units.

• Oversee additional contract resources as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• An MD degree is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry as an employed cardiologist or consultant in early phase development.

• ABIM Board certification in Cardiovascular Diseases is necessary for candidates based in the US.

• Strong preference for candidates with experience and knowledge of cardiac safety and efficacy in clinical trials.

• Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology training is preferred.

• At least 5 years of clinical cardiology and electrocardiography experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with concentration effect modeling and strong knowledge of the ICH E14 guidance is preferred.

• Experience in writing reports for QT waivers and a working knowledge of clinical pharmacology is desirable.

• Experience working with and/or consulting for pharmaceutical industry sponsors.

• High ethical standards with a commitment to representing Clario at the highest level.
