Car Service Dispatcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Coordinate and assign drivers for both scheduled and incoming transportation requests.

• Oversee active trips while coordinating between drivers and passengers.

• Allocate suitable drivers and vehicles based on their location, availability, and scheduling requirements.

• Utilize maps and local transportation logistics for efficient route navigation.

• Identify and address scheduling conflicts and transportation challenges.

• Supervise operations and make swift decisions when adjustments are required.

• Engage with customers to discuss their transportation needs, scheduling, and updates.

• Handle and manage incoming phone calls and service requests.

• Communicate with drivers regarding their assignments, pickups, changes, and operational updates.

• Deliver exceptional customer service and escalate complex situations when needed.

• Enter, update, and maintain information related to trips and customers.

• Assist with the scheduling and management of reservations.

• Keep organized records and operational data.

• Provide support to the owner and team with administrative and coordination tasks.

• Respond to cancellations, delays, scheduling conflicts, and unforeseen issues.

• Anticipate logistical challenges and manage multiple priorities effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in dispatching, transportation logistics, scheduling, or a related operational role is highly preferred.

• Experience with car services, taxi services, limousine companies, transportation firms, delivery operations, or logistics organizations is a significant advantage.

• Strong knowledge of maps, routing, locations, and dispatch logistics.

• Excellent verbal and written English skills with the ability to communicate clearly and naturally.

• Comfortable managing phone communications with customers and team members.

• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.

• Capability to think quickly and make sound decisions in real-time.

• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing schedules and trip information.
