This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Identify new and organic strategic opportunities from qualified leads through successful awards.
• Guide teams and act as a catalyst for growth.
• Collaborate with the Chief Growth Officer, Business Unit leaders, Business Development, Proposal Management, Pricing, Contracts, recruitment, and various other departments.
• Build strong client relationships and work alongside engagement teams and teaming partners.
• Create new service offerings and mentor staff in capture management.
• Contribute to the company’s growth through effective capture and proposal writing.
• Influence procurements and enhance customer relationships.
• Collect program intelligence and validate win themes, teaming strategies, and technical approaches.
• Draft white papers and establish documented pricing strategies based on customer insights and competitor analysis.
• Aid in the creation and execution of comprehensive growth plans.
• Oversee the opportunity lifecycle from start to finish.
• Facilitate meetings and unify diverse groups toward consensus.
• Report directly to the Vice President of Proposal Operations while collaborating with the P&L leader on strategic opportunities.
• Support the execution of the company’s high-growth strategy and undertake additional duties as assigned.
• Over 10 years of professional experience, including more than 8 years in capture management.
• Background in a Federal system integrator and/or professional services firm.
• Proven success in securing new work, including large-scale, complex projects valued in the millions.
• Demonstrated success in winning Federal contracts with a Total Contract Value of $50M–$100M+.
• Experienced in capture management and leading proposal responses.
• Skilled in proposal writing.
• Strong analytical skills with a clear understanding of customer business challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment across multiple business units.
• Openness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Leadership and management skills to ensure adherence to company processes.
• Ability to strategize for long-term success.
• Reliability, meticulous attention to detail, and commitment fulfillment.
• Strong process management and planning abilities; goal-oriented and task-focused.
• Experience presenting outcomes to clients or company management is strongly preferred.
• Proven history of expanding existing accounts and opening new ones.
• US Citizenship with the capability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.
• Exceptional consulting, interpersonal, communication, analytical, capture, and account management skills.
• Competence in collaborating with Business Development and Proposal Management teams.
• Ability to foster trusted relationships both externally and internally.
• Proficient in leading meetings and achieving consensus.
• Demonstrated capability to navigate sales cycles and create business opportunities.
• Familiarity with the Shipley method for Capture Management or a willingness to develop proficiency.
