Capital Markets Analyst I – Loan Trading

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development and leadership of the bank’s Capital Markets Whole Loan Trading platform.

• Provide analytical and operational support for the Secondary Whole Loan Trading business.

• Manage daily Loan Trading operations and reporting activities.

• Aid in the evaluation, structuring, and execution of structured finance transactions, including securitizations, whole loan sales, and forward flow agreements.

• Support execution efforts with investment banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, credit funds, and private institutional investors.

• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with capital sources, institutional investors, rating agencies, and law firms.

• Prepare information for investor due diligence.

• Design, establish, and scale the operational framework for the Whole Loan Trading platform.

• Assist with financial models related to asset performance and pricing.

• Oversee communications and due diligence requests from capital market partners.

• Develop investor reporting, surveillance, internal dashboards, and Monthly Business Reviews.

• Create and update marketing materials for prospective investors.

• Build and maintain investor databases and transaction comparables.

• Identify and implement best practices for Capital Markets reporting, along with operational and credit risk management.

• Assist with third-party Capital Markets financial and operational audits.

• Support the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Capital Markets with assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.

• 0–2 years of experience in Whole Loan Acquisitions / Divestitures, Debt Capital Markets, Structured Finance, Specialty Lending, and/or Investment Banking.

• Progress towards an MBA and/or CFA is advantageous.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate investment merits to potential capital partners.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
