Campus Staff Minister – Undergraduate Ministry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Strive for spiritual growth through Scripture, prayer, worship, self-leadership, and adherence to Scriptural principles for behavior and attitudes.

• Articulate and exemplify InterVarsity’s vision for transforming students and faculty, renewing campuses, and nurturing future leaders.

• Foster a culture of reliance on God and anticipation for initiating witnessing communities.

• Guide students and faculty via Scripture, prayer, teaching, and discipleship opportunities.

• Establish annual qualitative and quantitative objectives for growth, including conversions and leadership enhancement.

• Assemble spiritually vibrant, relationally sound, and mission-focused leadership teams.

• Design, implement, assess, and refine ministry initiatives to meet annual targets.

• Align programs, structures, conferences, and teams with ministry objectives.

• Encourage students and faculty to connect with their networks through the gospel and establish new missional communities.

• Oversee Ministry Interns and Campus Ministry Interns as assigned by the Area Director.

• Gather, invite, mentor, coach, and equip a diverse group of students and faculty as participants and leaders in ministry.

• Provide opportunities for students and faculty to experience and follow Jesus through Scripture, worship, prayer, mission activities, and conferences.

• Equip students and faculty to share the good news of Jesus and invite others to follow Him.

• Collaborate with local, area, regional, and national InterVarsity staff and volunteers.

• Respond to guidance and coaching from supervisors and national leaders.

• Engage in team meetings and foster relationships.

• Manage affiliate chapters and submit Graduating Student Forms.

• Utilize national ministry resources and tools, and engage in recruiting or participating in conferences.

• Fulfill reporting, planning, and review obligations.

• Adhere to InterVarsity policies, procedures, and Ministry Partnership Policies.

• Raise 100% of the assigned financial budget through personal fundraising efforts.

• Maintain regular communication with ministry partners through visits, calls, emails, and prayer letters.

• Build long-term partnerships with alumni, volunteers, churches, individuals, and community members.

• Identify and cultivate advocates who can develop volunteer and donor networks.

• Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

• Annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement (Doctrinal Basis and Purpose Statement).

• Comply with InterVarsity’s Code of Conduct.

• Believe and act in alignment with InterVarsity’s Human Sexuality Theological Paper.

• Affirm and behave in accordance with InterVarsity’s “Women in Ministry Statement of Affirmation.”

• A Bachelor’s degree is required for CSMs assigned to a four-year campus.

• A minimum of an Associate’s degree is necessary for CSMs assigned to a two-year campus or community college.

• Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in ministering to diverse ethnic communities and faculty.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proven problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software.

• Ability to travel to both on-campus and off-campus locations as necessary.

• Full-time availability, 40 hours per week.
