Campus Staff Minister – Graduate and Faculty Ministry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

• Foster a culture of reliance on God and the anticipation of initiating new witnessing communities.

• Embody InterVarsity’s vision and Core Values, ensuring engagement with every ethnic and social group present on campus.

• Guide students and faculty in their spiritual journeys through Scripture, prayer, teaching, and discipleship opportunities.

• Establish annual qualitative and quantitative growth objectives in collaboration with students, faculty, and staff teams.

• Assemble leadership teams that exemplify spiritual vitality, relational well-being, and alignment with the mission.

• Develop, implement, assess, and adjust ministry plans to meet annual objectives.

• Align programs, structures, conferences, and teams around ministry goals.

• Encourage students and faculty to engage their networks with the gospel and initiate new missional communities.

• May oversee Ministry Interns and Campus Ministry Interns under the guidance of the Area Director.

• Create avenues for faculty and students to experience and follow Jesus through ministry activities.

• Equip, disciple, invite, coach, and cultivate students and faculty as active participants and leaders in ministry.

• Collaborate with local, area, regional, and national InterVarsity staff and volunteers.

• Support affiliated chapters and submit Graduating Student Forms as required.

• Utilize national ministry resources and engage in or recruit for conferences as necessary.

• Fulfill reporting, planning, and review obligations.

• Adhere to InterVarsity policies and procedures.

• Raise 100% of the designated financial budget through ministry partnerships.

• Maintain communication with ministry partners through visits, phone calls, emails, and prayer letters.

• Foster long-term partnerships with alumni and volunteers.

• Identify and nurture advocates who can build volunteer and donor networks.

• Complete additional assigned tasks as appropriate.

• Annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement (Doctrinal Basis and Purpose Statement).

• Comply with InterVarsity’s Code of Conduct.

• Believe and act in accordance with InterVarsity’s Human Sexuality Theological Paper.

• Affirm and act in accordance with InterVarsity’s “Women in Ministry Statement of Affirmation.”

• A Bachelor’s degree is required for Campus Staff Ministers (CSMs) assigned to a four-year campus.

• A minimum of an Associate’s degree is required for CSMs assigned to a two-year campus or community college.

• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to minister to diverse ethnic communities and faculty.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proven problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software.

• Willingness to travel to on-campus and off-campus locations as needed.
