C++ Software Engineer, Linux – R&D Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design and create new software features in C++ for devices running on Linux.

• Take ownership of features throughout the entire process, from initial design and coding to debugging and deployment.

• Produce clean, maintainable code, along with unit tests and technical documentation.

• Diagnose and profile system issues, addressing performance bottlenecks and stability errors.

• Engage in daily collaboration with teams involved in hardware, firmware, QA, and project management.

• Contribute to code reviews and participate in team planning sessions.

• Work on essential software components and assist in shaping product architecture in collaboration with hardware and QA engineers.

• Aid in transforming initial concepts into a dependable, production-ready product.

• Integrate various services to ensure the overall stability of the software.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of professional software development experience in C++.

• Strong understanding of Modern C++ standards, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and multithreading.

• Solid hands-on experience with Linux development and debugging tools.

• Proficient with build systems, version control, and CI/CD tools, particularly CMake and Git.

• Practical experience in writing unit tests and optimizing code.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work with intricate technical requirements.

• At least an Intermediate level in written and spoken English (B1).

• Familiarity with Embedded Linux tools like Yocto or Buildroot is a plus.

• Knowledge of IPC mechanisms such as D-Bus and gRPC, or network protocols like MQTT and TCP/UDP is advantageous.

• Experience in video/audio streaming or data processing is beneficial.

• Exposure to development boards like Raspberry Pi and NVIDIA Jetson is a plus.

• Experience or interest in AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code is desirable.
