C-130 Aircraft Maintenance Crew Chief

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage the maintenance staff assigned to the aircraft.

• Offer daily direction, mentorship, and training to the team.

• Ensure that maintenance activities are conducted safely and adhere to FAA regulations, company manuals, approved technical data, and established procedures.

• Conduct final inspections and authorize aircraft for return to service within the scope of FAA certification and company authorization.

• Review, identify, control, segregate, store, and maintain incoming materials, parts, and components.

• Collaborate with the Maintenance Control Manager and Stores personnel to guarantee the availability of parts, materials, tools, and supplies.

• Oversee inventory management, receiving, shipping, core returns, work orders, and maintenance activities in Corridor.

• Plan and coordinate parts provisioning and pre-ordering processes.

• Diagnose complex aircraft systems and supervise post-maintenance inspections, operational checks, and testing procedures.

• Ensure that worksheets, technical logs, tracking updates, work orders, and maintenance records are precise and submitted promptly.

• Make certain that tools, ground-support equipment, and mission-specific equipment are calibrated, stored, maintained, and safe for use.

• Foster a safe, organized, and professional maintenance environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum of two years of prior experience as a Crew Chief.

• Previous experience leading aircraft maintenance personnel in a maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility or a similar operational setting.

• Strong understanding of FAA regulations, aircraft maintenance requirements, company manuals, and approved technical documentation.

• Proven experience in troubleshooting complex aircraft systems and conducting post-maintenance checks.

• Valid driver's license.

• Valid passport and the ability to travel both domestically and internationally.

• Capability to obtain a CDL Class A license for the required truck-and-trailer combination.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Prior heavy aircraft maintenance experience.

• C-130 Hercules experience is preferred; comparable heavy-maintenance aircraft experience will be accepted.
