This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Regularly evaluate and handle purchasing proposals, transforming mock purchase orders into precise supplier orders.

• Input and dispatch purchase orders in ERP through EDI and email submissions.

• Enter orders into vendor order-management systems via customer portals.

• Generate and process rush purchase orders as needed to fulfill urgent customer or operational requirements.

• Aggregate requirements across supplier locations and create stock transfer orders between company sites.

• Examine purchase order acknowledgments from suppliers for accuracy and identify discrepancies before they lead to delays.

• Assess open purchase orders and expedite as necessary to uphold delivery commitments.

• Work collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to promptly address invoice and purchase order discrepancies.

• Review notifications from suppliers regarding price increases, minimum order requirements, payment term alterations, shipping procedures, and rebates, escalating issues to management when appropriate.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience in buying or procurement within an industrial distribution or manufacturing setting.

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.

• Exceptional communication and customer service abilities with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Highly organized, capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment.

• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team while also managing independent responsibilities.

• Experience with ERP systems is essential.

• Familiarity with Tribute ERP is a significant advantage.

• Knowledge of EDI order submission and vendor portal systems is preferred.

• An Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent qualification is required.
