Business/Systems Analyst Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver customer support and training to clients.

• Create and implement standard operating procedures.

• Assist across all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, testing, training, and production support.

• Aid in the operation and maintenance of a Department of Defense application.

• Diagnose and resolve existing functionality and enhancements within an Oracle Federal Financials ERP implementation.

• Act as a vital member of a cohesive functional team under the guidance of a Functional Lead.

• Comprehend and address software issues collaboratively with the team.

• Address customer complaints related to software functionality.

• Respond to recommendations for software modifications or improvements.

• Collect system requirements and generate detailed requirement and functional specification documents.

• Collaborate with the development team on application design and overcome development challenges.

• Perform system testing at the development site to confirm requirements are met.

• Evaluate business and user needs, document requirements, and identify solutions for new and evolving business processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must successfully pass a Tier 1 background check.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

• Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program in computer science or a related field.

• Proven ability to deliver professional and prompt customer support.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Ability to gain proficiency with an enterprise-wide financial database and train other users on the system.

• Effectively communicate and collaborate within a team setting.

• Enthusiasm for working in an Agile environment.

• Experience in supporting software applications (preferred).

• Familiarity with gathering system requirements and conducting testing (preferred).

• Comfort and interest in presenting to an audience (a plus).

• Strong desire to learn complex business applications and understand the intricacies of their functionality.

• Relevant certifications such as ITIL or Security+ (preferred).

• A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred but not mandatory.

• Relevant internship/co-op experience, alongside demonstrated leadership, teamwork skills, interpersonal communication abilities, and involvement in professional, community, or extracurricular activities (preferred).
