Business Systems Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Direct the complete lifecycle of essential business systems, encompassing enhancements, releases, upgrades, integrations, and production support.

• Assist with daily business processing requirements for internal stakeholders and external clients while promoting strategic initiatives.

• Supervise incident, problem, and change management processes, including root cause analysis, corrective measures, and prevention of recurring issues.

• Maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports for system uptime, defect trends, backlog, release readiness, and service quality.

• Approve and oversee procedures for system management while advocating for best practices and continuous improvement.

• Suggest items for the enterprise technology annual operating budget and oversee departmental expenditures.

• Analyze, design, and implement process enhancements across enterprise teams.

• Collaborate with business leaders on the implementation, training, adoption, and ongoing support for enterprise systems.

• Coordinate integrations among internal and external platforms, data flows, APIs, vendor systems, and enterprise services.

• Assess business needs and propose scalable solutions that support growth, resilience, and client experience.

• Evaluate return on investment and recommend cost-effective solutions that provide measurable business value.

• Plan and oversee testing to ensure quality, control, and adherence to implementation standards.

• Cultivate partnerships with functional leaders to deliver value-enhancing systems and applications.

• Manage team capacity, resource planning, skill development, performance feedback, and task prioritization.

• Enhance business unit capabilities through innovative technologies and processes.

• Recruit, develop, and retain talent to implement technology strategies and support corporate initiatives.

• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, operational excellence, and effective problem-solving.

• Ensure that products and software platforms comply with federal regulations, internal controls, and data security standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 4+ years of experience in managing and leading technology teams.

• 4–6 years of experience in senior technology operations or senior infrastructure support.

• 4 years of experience with core banking solutions, such as Jack Henry or FIS.

• Preferred 3+ years of experience with core banking, integration, or digital solutions such as jXchange, 4|sight, Q2 Digital Banking, Synergy, Teller Capture, Centrix, Terafina, or Verafin.

• Experience with ServiceNow or similar platforms.

• Technical proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.

• Advanced skills in Excel and Power BI.

• Experience with AI and automation tools.

• Experience supporting integration related to mergers and acquisitions.

• Strong executive communication, leadership, influencing, and presentation skills.

• Excellent reporting and documentation abilities.

• Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, technology operations, and system governance.

• Exceptional service orientation and client focus.

• Proven experience in strategically leveraging technology to innovate business delivery.

• Ability to analyze complex tasks that necessitate advanced or technical concepts.

• Capability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical business owners.

• Ability to perform responsibilities and make decisions under frequent time constraints and within budget limits.
