Business Systems Automation Specialist

📋 Description

• Evaluate current business workflows to pinpoint inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and potential automation avenues.

• Collaborate with internal teams to grasp operational challenges and propose effective AI solutions.

• Assess customer service, production, procurement, and inventory processes to uncover significant automation prospects.

• Convert business challenges into technical specifications and actionable implementation strategies.

• Rank automation projects based on their business impact, efficiency improvements, and scalability.

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven workflows for repetitive business tasks.

• Develop automation solutions utilizing AI tools, APIs, integrations, and workflow platforms.

• Continuously enhance automation systems based on organizational feedback and performance metrics.

• Analyze and optimize customer service operations, including manual order processing and repetitive customer interactions.

• Investigate customer portals, AI assistants, automated workflows, and self-service systems.

• Collaborate with existing business systems and technology platforms to create integrated workflows.

• Facilitate integrations between software platforms and work alongside developers for deeper engineering support as needed.

• Comprehend system architecture and suggest enhancements.

• Lead automation initiatives from initial discovery through to implementation.

• Develop project plans, establish requirements, test solutions, assess results, and document workflows.

• Independently oversee projects and report progress, challenges, and recommendations to leadership.

• Stay updated on the latest AI tools, automation platforms, and industry best practices.

• Identify new AI possibilities and assist in formulating a long-term AI automation strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in automation, software development, business systems, AI implementation, solutions architecture, or a similar technical role.

• Proven experience in independently managing technical projects from inception to completion.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze business processes and convert them into technical solutions.

• Experience in implementing automation solutions within operational contexts.

• Preference for candidates with experience in manufacturing, production, inventory, or order management systems.

• Strong knowledge of AI tools, automation platforms, and workflow systems.

• Proficient in building integrations between software platforms.

• Familiarity with APIs, databases, and system architecture.

• Ability to perform light to moderate coding or scripting with languages like Python or JavaScript.

• Hands-on experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, AI agents, and automation platforms.

• Experience with workflow automation tools like Zapier, Make, n8n, or similar.

• Preference for candidates with experience in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar ERP systems.

• Experience in integrating CRM platforms such as HubSpot is favored.

• Experience with e-commerce platforms like Magento is a plus.

• Capability to independently lead projects and link technical solutions to quantifiable business outcomes.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying automation opportunities.

• Proficient in collaborating with leadership, operations teams, and developers.
