This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Analyze business challenges and determine automated solutions, processes, and procedures.
• Offer technical expertise in identifying, assessing, and developing cost-efficient systems and processes.
• Develop system specifications that satisfy business needs.
• Configure system settings and options effectively.
• Plan and carry out unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Consult with users about automated systems.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams in addressing business or system-related issues.
• Review design proposals and provide insights on their alignment with business requirements.
• Ensure application systems meet user requirements, objectives, processes, and business strategies.
• Consult on complex projects as a high-level contributor or specialist.
• Contribute to departmental delivery policies and procedures.
• Offer guidance to other BSA resources as a subject matter expert and/or project leader.
• Direct the implementation of new business processes that support system changes.
• Maintain high availability and stability of integrated systems and production.
• Supervise and assist BSAs and business partners with enhancements and daily application and production concerns.
• Develop systems implementation strategies in collaboration with key business stakeholders.
• Create and/or coordinate project plans throughout the development lifecycle, including maintenance planning.
• Ensure systems implementation is timely, accurate, and cost-effective.
• Lead change management initiatives for the user community.
• Document, lead reviews, and secure formal approval for detailed functional requirements from business owners, development, and QA.
• Bachelor’s degree or other relevant functional training in business, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in a business functional area.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• PeopleSoft functional training.
• Experience in security administration.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Comprehensive experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• SMLE level of business acumen across multiple functional areas, with expertise in at least one.
• Extensive and in-depth knowledge of various enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with system development and project management methodologies, including Object-Oriented (OO) and PMI.
• Ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
• Ability to articulate business processes to technical teams.
• Capability to design complex process flow diagrams or flowcharts.
• Proficiency in gathering and documenting requirements and validating findings with business owners.
• Ability to conduct fit/gap analysis.
• Skilled in creating detailed test plans for large-scale initiatives.
• Knowledge of business systems software and the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to write complex queries and reports.
• Capability to develop project plans that meet established deliverables and timelines.
• Ability to mentor lower-level personnel and provide training.
• Proficient in conducting meetings, gathering information, and presenting status updates.
