Business Systems Analyst – Data Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with various business units to identify operational requirements and propose technological solutions.

• Collect and document both business and system requirements.

• Analyze data to support business cases, proposed initiatives, and system requirements.

• Create reports identifying potential causes and solutions for system issues.

• Conduct research, troubleshooting, and fact-finding activities.

• Plan, design, develop, and implement business, financial, and operational systems.

• Design, develop, and deploy software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.

• Develop system models, specifications, diagrams, and charts utilizing Microsoft Visio.

• Assess the business impacts of technology applications.

• Import data for reports, spreadsheets, graphs, and flowcharts.

• Oversee the development and implementation of software and hardware solutions.

• Lead assigned projects at Level III.

• Improve process automation using Enterprise Scheduler and/or RPA tools.

• Evaluate database hardware, software, standards, data retrieval methods, and mainframe applications.

• Supervise solution design, development, and implementation at Level III.

• Mentor and guide less-experienced Business Systems Analysts.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least one year of combined experience in Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting, or Management Information Systems is required for Level I unless deemed appropriate by the CIO/VP of Technology Services.

• A minimum of three years of combined relevant experience is necessary for Level II unless skills are deemed appropriate by the CIO/VP of Technology Services.

• At least five years of combined relevant experience is required for Level III unless skills are deemed appropriate by the CIO/VP of Technology Services.

• Familiarity with core software applications.

• Basic understanding of programming concepts.

• Strong skills in data analysis.

• Advanced SQL capabilities along with experience in query development.

• Comprehensive understanding of data architecture and system integration.

• Level II: working knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and standards.

• Level II: programming knowledge including PowerOn, VB.NET, VBScript, and T-SQL.

• Level III: extensive experience in system analysis and technology applications.

• Level III: advanced expertise in analyzing database hardware and software.
