Business Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to collect, analyze, and document business requirements.

• Convert business needs into functional and technical specifications.

• Develop process flows, use cases, and user stories.

• Perform gap analysis and recommend solutions for process optimization.

• Partner with Product Owners to prioritize and manage backlogs effectively.

• Assist in system testing, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution.

• Present detailed project progress reports and presentations to stakeholders.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Mentor the team on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Eliminate obstacles and protect the team from external distractions.

• Monitor and report team metrics such as velocity, cycle time, and burndown charts.

• Encourage collaboration and open communication among team members and stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with Agile best practices and foster accountability.

• Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain a well-defined and prioritized backlog.

• Adhere to standard working hours, meet deadlines, follow company policies, communicate with supervisors, complete assigned tasks, and carry out other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Over 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst.

• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.

• Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and documentation.

• Familiarity with SharePoint.

• Knowledge of Power Platform capabilities.

• Experience with Functional Testing and Test Documentation (Test Cases / Test Scripts).

• Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management abilities.

• Proficient with Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, or similar project management tools.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational and time management skills; capable of working independently and resolving issues.

• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks based on environmental impacts and team needs.

• DOD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) is preferred.

• Experience with enterprise-level software development or system implementations is a plus.

• Familiarity with business process modeling tools such as Visio or Lucidchart is preferred.

• Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools is advantageous.
