This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Facilitate discovery sessions with stakeholders from Finance and Accounting, including teams from Accounting, Treasury, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and Financial Planning & Analysis.
• Identify operational challenges and create mappings for both current and future financial workflows.
• Document functional specifications and user stories effectively.
• Spearhead initial enhancements for Workday Financials.
• Convert accounting logic, Worktag requirements, and financial control policies into system configurations.
• Promote cross-departmental alignment and process enhancements across Workday HCM, Payroll, Procurement, and related reporting tools.
• Manage backlogs and prioritize financial system enhancement requests within an Agile framework.
• Collaborate with squad leads and technical analysts to ensure that technical designs meet business objectives.
• Establish testing strategies and create scenario-based test scripts.
• Oversee User Acceptance Testing in collaboration with finance teams.
• Develop standard operating procedures and training materials to enhance system adoption.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst focused on financial business processes and enterprise finance/ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in business process modeling, requirements gathering, gap analysis, use case development, and workflow mapping.
• Familiarity with workflow mapping tools like Lucidchart or Visio.
• Experience in structuring comprehensive UAT cycles, writing detailed functional test scripts, and obtaining business approvals.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Financial Close, Procurement, and Financial Reporting.
• Background with cloud ERP or enterprise financial platforms such as Workday Financials, NetSuite, Oracle Cloud, SAP, or SAP Concur.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum framework environments.
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to translate complex accounting requirements into actionable technical specifications.
• Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI-PBA, or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) are preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be available to work remotely from the New York location.
