This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main business analyst for eClinicalWorks EHR and Practice Management processes.
• Collaborate with clinical, administrative, billing, and IT stakeholders to collect, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Assess current workflows and suggest enhancements utilizing eCW functionalities.
• Assist in the configuration, upkeep, and optimization of eCW modules, templates, order sets, forms, reports, and workflows.
• Investigate system issues, troubleshoot problems, and coordinate solutions with internal teams and eCW support.
• Create functional specifications, workflow diagrams, test scripts, user stories, and business process documentation.
• Support system upgrades, patches, enhancements, and the implementation of new features.
• Conduct user acceptance testing and verify system changes prior to deployment in production.
• Facilitate data analysis, reporting, dashboards, and operational metrics using eCW reporting tools or similar systems.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to end users regarding eCW workflows and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with revenue cycle teams to assist with billing, claims, eligibility, scheduling, referrals, and payment processes.
• Ensure that system modifications adhere to healthcare regulations, HIPAA requirements, and organizational guidelines.
• Engage in project planning, status updates, risk assessment, and implementation activities.
• Keep comprehensive documentation of system configurations, workflows, issues, and their resolutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be acceptable.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Clinical Systems Analyst, or Healthcare IT Analyst.
• Practical experience with eClinicalWorks — specifically eCW EHR and/or Practice Management systems.
• Deep understanding of healthcare clinical workflows and/or ambulatory practice operations.
• Experience in gathering requirements, documenting workflows, and facilitating system enhancements.
• Knowledge of EHR configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and end-user support.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Capability to work with cross-functional teams including clinicians, front office, billing, IT, and leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting eCW upgrades, migrations, or implementation projects.
• Preferred: Understanding of revenue cycle workflows including scheduling, eligibility, claims, coding, billing, denials, and payments.
• Preferred: Experience with reporting tools, SQL, dashboards, or healthcare analytics.
• Preferred: Knowledge of HL7 interfaces, APIs, lab interfaces, and interoperability standards.
• Preferred: Experience with patient portals, telehealth, referrals, document management, and care coordination workflows.
• Preferred: Certification or training in eClinicalWorks is advantageous.
• Preferred: Experience in an ambulatory care, physician group, or multi-specialty practice environment.
