This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead various development teams in achieving distinct sprint objectives

• Oversee inter-team dependencies and consistently enhance delivery efficiency and team involvement

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies for cross-functional development teams that deliver financial and payment solutions across mainframe, distributed, and cloud environments

• Instruct on Agile best practices while ensuring the process is engaging, value-driven, and predictable

• Enable the optimization of business operations for USPS

• Mentor teams on backlog preparedness, prioritization, slicing, and acceptance criteria

• Monitor and expedite the resolution of impediments across various environments, integrations, data, and approvals

• Coordinate dependencies across teams and platforms, including batch schedules, deployment timelines, and integration points

• Keep track of visible sprint goals, impediment logs, experiment trackers, and delivery metrics

• Provide coaching to Product Owners, BAs, and technical leaders

• Conduct improvement experiments and ensure they are brought to closure

• Promote an environment of psychological safety, inclusive participation, and sustainable work pace

• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams

• Cultivate relationships with customers, executive leadership, and technical personnel to support effective software delivery into production


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution is preferred; equivalent relevant work experience may substitute for the degree

• Over 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in Agile facilitation

• At least 2 years of experience working with multiple concurrent development teams

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT sector

• Proficiency with VersionOne / Agility or similar project management tools

• Capability to comprehend business and technical requirements, as well as technical terminology and government abbreviations

• Skill in keeping Agile ceremonies productive, time-bound, and engaging

• Experience in minimizing carryover, aging blockers, and decision delays

• Ability to coach on backlog preparedness, including thin vertical slices, clear acceptance criteria, and limited work in progress (WIP)

• Competence in managing team sizing activities and project deadline projections

• Proficiency in scheduling, tracking, and managing meetings

• Experience in facilitating Agile events and cross-team synchronizations

• Background in tracking and resolving impediments across platforms

• Experience coordinating inter-team and cross-platform dependencies

• Familiarity with maintaining sprint goals, impediment logs, experiment trackers, and metrics

• Ability to mentor Product Owners, BAs, and technical leaders

• Capacity to drive improvement experiments to completion

• Knowledge of DevSecOps, Agile Scrum, VersionOne or comparable Agile project management software, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices

• Understanding of payroll systems and processing

• Familiarity with mainframe systems is an advantage

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong skills in facilitation, leadership, organization, time management, budget management, risk management, problem-solving, adaptability, and teamwork

• Ability to establish business relationships across teams and collaborate with customers, executive leadership, and technical staff

• Capability to acquire and maintain a Public Trust clearance and successfully pass government background checks, including detailed forms and fingerprinting

• Must meet the U.S. residency requirement for the USPS security clearance process
