This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Deliver strategic and financial insights for designated business portfolios.
• Lead and facilitate the organization-wide budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
• Comply with Treasury Board and government quarterly reporting requirements.
• Provide analysis and contributions to the BCLC Service Plan.
• Oversee financial management and performance reporting activities.
• Develop and manage analysis, reporting, and metrics related to financial performance.
• Formulate, propose, and execute budgeting and forecasting policies and procedures.
• Offer consolidated views on budgeting, forecasting, and trend analysis.
• Suggest and implement financial analysis and reporting solutions.
• Utilize technology, data analytics, and AI-driven tools to enhance planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision-making processes.
• Supervise team members' contributions to organization-wide budgeting and forecasting efforts.
• Mentor and develop direct reports as well as other members of the finance team.
• Collaborate across Finance and various organizational divisions.
• Act as a liaison with external contacts regarding government forecasts, budgets, and service plans.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Completion of a recognized professional accounting certification.
• 6–8 years of progressive experience in financial analysis and accounting positions.
• Minimum of 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
• Experience with financial ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
• Proficiency in modern analytics, automation, reporting, and AI-enabled technologies.
• Expertise in advanced financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and performance reporting.
• Knowledge of financial forecasting, financial analysis, and financial performance evaluation.
• Strong skills in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel capabilities.
• Excellent influencing, negotiation, written and verbal communication, problem-solving, analytical thinking, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• All applicants must be at least 19 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
