This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Take charge of the SaaS budget, forecasting, and license management for Core IT enterprise platforms, including the application catalog, utilization monitoring, renewal scheduling, and cost optimization.
• Oversee vendor management for Core IT SaaS and hardware agreements.
• Manage hardware and logistics operations across five regions, which includes inventory forecasting, procurement, multi-region ordering, new-hire equipment standards, new-office hardware setup, and the IT hardware budget.
• Lead and develop direct reports, establishing priorities while enhancing team capabilities and impact.
• Collaborate with business systems analysts on requirements gathering, process design, and systems support.
• Establish the operational rhythm for Business Operations through budget tracking, vendor scorecards, renewal schedules, and reporting.
• Work alongside IT, Sales, and R&D leadership on platform backlog and renewal decisions.
• Promote and integrate Samsara’s cultural principles as the company expands globally and opens new offices.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in vendor management, SaaS operations, IT business operations, or a similar field.
• Proven experience managing enterprise software or hardware contracts from inception to completion, including negotiation, renewal, and expenditure tracking.
• Experience in people management, or a demonstrated readiness to take on a managerial role for the first time.
• A clear perspective on prioritization and the development of a small team.
• Proven history of collaborating across IT, finance, and business teams to manage budgets and vendor relationships.
• Experience in managing hardware or IT asset operations across multiple regions.
• Proven ability to build processes, reporting systems, and a team from the ground up.
• Strong data management and analytical skills utilizing Google Sheets/Excel and similar tools.
• Experience in SaaS procurement and license optimization at a comparable scale or complexity.
