This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Plan, oversee, and evaluate the operations of a North American sales team to meet sales objectives.
• Formulate and implement territory business plans that align with the strategies of the Mobiles Division and Sales Area.
• Achieve targets for equipment and aftermarket sales, order intake, revenue, market share, and profitability.
• Identify market opportunities, growth segments, prioritize accounts, and determine routes to market.
• Develop commercial proposals and effective strategies utilizing value-based selling techniques.
• Advocate financing solutions that enhance customer value propositions.
• Cultivate long-term relationships with customers, dealers, and distributors.
• Lead discussions on distributor performance, covering aspects such as business planning, pipeline management, inventory, capability, coverage, and necessary corrective measures.
• Communicate the comprehensive Mobiles offering, which includes equipment, aftermarket, service, training, and digital solutions.
• Increase market presence through customer engagement, local events, and trade shows.
• Manage territory forecasts and fulfill monthly and annual commercial commitments.
• Track account and opportunity performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain opportunity, pipeline, and customer data using CRM and commercial tools.
• Apply financial judgment to pricing, deal structures, risks, and profitability.
• Collaborate with various teams, including Commercial Operations, Finance, Business Control, Legal, Supply, Sales Area teams, Mobiles Division, Product Management, Marketing, Aftermarket, Service, and Training.
• Propel equipment sales, expand installed base, and capture aftermarket opportunities.
• Coordinate with aftermarket, service, and training teams to enhance customer support and local capabilities.
• Encourage territory inventory planning to optimize availability, lead times, and aftermarket performance.
• Share market intelligence, competitor insights, and customer feedback.
• Spearhead continuous improvement and change initiatives.
• Establish goals for both direct and indirect contributors.
• Coach, nurture, and engage the team effectively.
• Align resources and capabilities with business priorities and growth strategies.
• Promote Sandvik’s Environment, Health & Safety culture and report any hazards and incidents.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales roles, or a total of 10 years in sales within aftermarket products.
• At least 2 years in a leadership or managerial position.
• Proven experience in key account management, sales, business development, or commercial leadership in a B2B context.
• Background in mining, aggregates, construction, or related capital-equipment industries.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate productive relationships with dealers, distributors, and end customers.
• Experience in managing high-value accounts, complex opportunities, and technical-commercial discussions.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including understanding pricing, margins, and deal profitability.
• Experience working efficiently across functions and within a matrix organization.
• Prior experience as an Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, or Key Account Manager with a focus on aftermarket products is preferred.
• Proven track record in building customer relationships and achieving consistent year-on-year sales/revenue growth is preferred.
• Familiarity with sales forecasting, demand planning, sales reporting, opportunity tracking, follow-up, and new inquiry ratios.
• Experience using an ERP system.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Possession of a passport.
• Willingness to travel frequently, approximately 50% of the time.
• Ability to work safely in customer, quarry, construction, and mining environments.
• Must possess the legal right to work in the United States or Canada indefinitely without employer sponsorship.
