This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Strategically plan, direct, and oversee the activities of the sales team across North America to meet sales objectives.
• Formulate and implement territory business plans that align with the Mobiles Division and Sales Area strategies.
• Achieve targets for equipment and aftermarket sales, order intake, revenue, market share, and profitability.
• Identify opportunities in the market, growth segments, account priorities, and effective routes to market.
• Create compelling commercial proposals and successful strategies utilizing value-based selling techniques.
• Advocate for suitable financing solutions to enhance sales.
• Foster long-term relationships with customers, dealers, and distributors.
• Lead discussions with distributors regarding business planning, pipeline management, inventory, capabilities, coverage, and necessary corrective actions.
• Effectively communicate the complete Mobiles offering, which includes equipment, aftermarket services, training, and digital solutions.
• Increase market presence through customer engagement initiatives, events, trade shows, and account activities.
• Manage territory forecasts and fulfill monthly and annual commercial commitments.
• Monitor account and opportunity performance, recognize gaps, and implement corrective measures.
• Maintain accurate opportunity, pipeline, and customer data within CRM and commercial tools.
• Apply financial acumen to pricing, deal structuring, risk assessment, and profitability analysis.
• Collaborate with teams in Commercial Operations, Finance, Business Control, Legal, Supply, Sales Area, Product Management, Marketing, Aftermarket, Service, and Training.
• Promote equipment sales, expansion of the installed base, and capture of aftermarket opportunities.
• Coordinate with aftermarket, service, and training teams to enhance customer support.
• Encourage inventory planning within the territory to optimize availability, lead times, and aftermarket performance.
• Share insights on market intelligence, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
• Lead change initiatives and maintain accountability for actions and results.
• Establish goals for both direct and indirect contributors.
• Mentor, develop, and engage team members.
• Align resources and capabilities with business priorities, customer demands, and growth strategies.
• Uphold Sandvik’s Environment, Health & Safety culture and adhere to EHS policies.
• Identify and report unsafe work behaviors, hazards, and incidents.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales roles, or a total of 10 years in sales of aftermarket products.
• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or managerial position.
• Proven track record in key account management, sales, business development, or commercial leadership within a B2B context.
• Experience in the mining, aggregates, construction, or adjacent capital-equipment sectors.
• Demonstrated capability to cultivate productive relationships with dealers, distributors, and end customers.
• Experience managing high-value accounts, complex opportunities, and technical-commercial discussions.
• Strong financial and commercial insight, including expertise in pricing, margins, and deal profitability.
• Proficient in working effectively across functions and within a matrix organization.
• Previous roles such as Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, or Key Account Manager with a focus on aftermarket products.
• Proven sales success, consistently developing customer relationships that yield year-on-year sales and revenue growth.
• Proficient in sales forecasting and demand planning.
• Experienced in reporting, including sales tracking, opportunity follow-up, and new inquiry ratios.
• Familiarity with using ERP systems and tools.
• Possession of a valid driver's license in good standing.
• Valid passport.
• Willingness to travel frequently, including visits to customer sites and distributor locations; approximately 50% travel required.
• Ability to work safely in customer, quarry, construction, and mining environments, adhering to applicable requirements.
• Legal authorization to work indefinitely in the United States or Canada without employer sponsorship.
• Temporary work authorizations, including OPT, do not fulfill this requirement.
