Business Intelligence Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain operational, management, and executive dashboards utilizing Power BI.

• Create and support SSRS reports along with reporting frameworks.

• Develop intricate data models, KPIs, scorecards, and performance metrics.

• Collect and document business requirements, translating them into effective reporting solutions.

• Construct both custom and standard reports that align with business and contractual reporting needs.

• Deliver reporting solutions that facilitate data-driven decision-making.

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of reporting solutions, from design and deployment to enhancement and retirement.

• Provide production support for reporting platforms and dashboards.

• Diagnose data discrepancies, dashboard issues, and reporting failures.

• Monitor report refresh schedules to ensure timely report delivery.

• Maintain comprehensive reporting documentation, including data dictionaries and process documentation.

• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and datasets.

• Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance.

• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, risks, and business opportunities.

• Collaborate with multiple data sources and databases to ensure precise reporting.

• Promote data governance and adhere to reporting best practices.

• Configure, administer, and support reporting and workflow automation platforms.

• Create automated reporting processes to minimize manual effort and enhance consistency.

• Assist with integrations between reporting systems, databases, and business applications.

• Support automation initiatives that enhance reporting efficiency, data quality, and delivery timelines.

• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure stability of the reporting platform.

• Partner with business leaders and operational teams to comprehend reporting needs.

• Present findings, recommendations, and performance insights to stakeholders.

• Provide training and support to end-users regarding reporting tools and dashboards.

• Advise on reporting strategy and opportunities for analytics improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in supporting enterprise reporting environments.

• Familiarity with ITSM, service management, operational, or business performance reporting.

• Knowledge of cloud-based analytics and reporting platforms.

• Experience in supporting automated reporting and data integration solutions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (Desktop, Service, Dataflows, Semantic Models).

• Proficiency in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot; VBA preferred).

• Advanced SQL development expertise.

• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.

• Experience in database performance optimization.

• Understanding of data modeling and relational database concepts.

• Familiarity with ETL and data transformation processes.

• Skills in data quality management.

• Experience with workflow and reporting automation platforms.

• Knowledge of HTML.

• Familiarity with basic web technologies (CSS, JavaScript preferred).

• Skills in scripting and process automation.

• Understanding of API and data integration concepts.

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.

• Experience in business analysis and requirements gathering.

• Proficiency in root cause analysis.

• Skills in statistical and trend analysis.

• Understanding of data governance principles.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field (preferred).

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in reporting, analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis roles.
