This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Manage daily U.S. immigration casework for both current and prospective employees, handling nonimmigrant visas such as H-1B, E-3, and O-1, as well as green card processes that include complex PERM cases.
• Communicate case details to staff and candidates while coordinating the collection of necessary information.
• Collaborate with external immigration counsel to formulate case strategies and monitor progress.
• Address and resolve obstacles to ensure timely progression of cases.
• Oversee the employee experience throughout each immigration case, keeping stakeholders informed.
• Partner with immigration counsel on initiating visas, renewals, and managing green card processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate on implementations.
• Maintain up-to-date, accessible, and comprehensible visa and green card documentation and policies.
• Ensure seamless transition between recruitment and onboarding for employees who require visas.
• Address immigration inquiries, including questions regarding employee travel.
• Scope and manage project work autonomously as the immigration function expands.
• Contribute to the development of a resilient and scalable immigration function.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical business immigration, particularly in managing H-1B and green card cases.
• Strong understanding of the PERM process, I-140 petitions, and adjustment of status applications.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Proven reliability and sound judgment in prioritization.
• Genuine commitment to Coefficient Giving's mission and alignment with its operating values.
• Familiarity with O-1 petitions and EB-1 green card cases is preferred.
• Experience in a dynamic and high-performance environment is preferred.
• Interest in and knowledge of Coefficient Giving's work is preferred.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to remain calm and adaptable in a rapidly changing U.S. immigration policy landscape.
• Capacity to manage multiple open items and time-sensitive processes effectively.
• Willingness to overlap with U.S. business hours for at least 5–6 hours each day while based outside the U.S.
• Must possess valid work authorization; Coefficient Giving is unable to sponsor visas for this position.
• Unconditional 401(k) grant of $17,025 for U.S. hires.
