This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire, +3 more states.
• Research and identify emerging biotech firms, consultants, and potential clients throughout the US East region.
• Engage in outreach via phone, email, and networking efforts to establish new business connections.
• Assess prospects and convert them into sales-ready leads for Business Development Directors.
• Follow up on inquiries generated by marketing and nurture early-stage opportunities.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of Lonza's biologics development and manufacturing capabilities to effectively articulate the value proposition.
• Collaborate with teams in Market Intelligence, Technical Sales, Commercial Development, and Licensing.
• Represent Lonza at industry conferences, trade shows, and client meetings.
• Utilize lead-generation tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zymewire, Citeline, and similar platforms to uncover opportunities.
• Maintain precise records of prospect information and activity.
• Monitor business development activities and provide updates on the pipeline and market insights.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance Lonza's standing within the biologics sector.
• A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or a similar commercial role in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or a CDMO setting.
• Knowledge of drug development, biologics manufacturing, and the life sciences sector.
• Proven ability to cultivate relationships and generate new business opportunities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across teams.
• Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
