• Implement outbound prospecting strategies to create qualified meetings and build a pipeline within the designated territory.
• Identify New Logo opportunities as well as Growth opportunities within existing customer accounts.
• Engage in high-level discovery discussions to comprehend business requirements, qualify opportunities, and establish Sales Accepted Opportunities.
• Achieve or surpass monthly and quarterly targets for BDR-sourced Sales Accepted Opportunities.
• Conduct research and prioritize target accounts, pinpoint key stakeholders, uncover significant events, and formulate customized outreach plans.
• Carry out multi-touch outreach via calls, emails, and social media channels utilizing Outreach.
• Oversee, monitor, and report on prospecting activities and pipeline using Salesforce.
• Collaborate with Field, Corporate, and Digital Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams concerning account lists, campaigns, and calling strategies.
• Participate in regional marketing events to connect with attendees, generate leads, and produce qualified Sales Accepted Opportunities.
• Record and enhance Business Development Representative processes in the GitLab handbook.
• Provide mentorship to newly hired BDRs.
• Collaborate with Account Executives across various U.S. time zones using asynchronous communication, video conferencing, and shared playbooks.
• Prior experience in the tech industry within an outbound sales development position is essential.
• Strong and enthusiastic phone communication skills.
• Exceptional listening abilities.
• Proficient writing skills.
• Capability to prioritize tasks, handle a high volume of outreach, and consistently follow through on prospecting efforts.
• Proven track record of taking initiative, persevering through challenges, and independently steering projects or activities to successful conclusions.

• Understanding of business processes, roles, and organizational structures.
• Expertise in Salesforce, Sales Navigator, and Outreach or comparable prospecting and sequencing tools.
• Willingness to travel for training, team offsites, customer interactions, and other events.
