This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Oversee the flow of inbound leads while implementing outbound prospecting strategies.
• Engage in high-level discovery discussions within targeted accounts.
• Achieve or surpass the volume targets for Sales Accepted Opportunities sourced by BDRs.
• Create focused lists, develop calling strategies, and collaborate on messaging with team members.
• Conduct research on accounts, pinpoint key stakeholders and significant events, generate interest, and cultivate accounts.
• Perform outreach through calls, emails, social media interactions, and other methods using Outreach.io.
• Manage, monitor, and report on activities and outcomes via Salesforce.
• Document procedures in the GitLab handbook and collaborate with the Sales Development Manager for updates.
• Work in conjunction with Field and Corporate Marketing to enhance attendance at regional marketing events.
• Participate in field marketing events, engage with attendees, identify potential opportunities, and arrange meetings.
• Provide mentorship to new BDR team members.
• Collaborate with Digital Marketing to devise targeted marketing tactics.
• Enhance BDR strategies and drive measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate with Field and Digital Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Account Executives across AUNZ.
• Professional proficiency in English; knowledge of additional Asian languages is advantageous.
• Energetic phone communication skills, outstanding listening abilities, and strong writing capabilities.
• Self-motivated individual with a proven history of credible and successful accomplishments.
• Understanding of business processes, roles, and organizational structures.
• Experience in developing business within the Enterprise and Mid-Market sectors in Australia.
• Determined in achieving or surpassing targets through consistent follow-ups, effective objection handling, and ongoing improvement.
• Proven interest in GitLab and the DevOps field.
• Proficient in Salesforce, including reporting features, and knowledgeable in LinkedIn.
• Previous experience in the technology sector.
• Background in sales development, marketing, and/or sales.
• Experience in outbound prospecting activities.
