This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Increase market share in the energy and chemical sectors.
• Generate leads and promote Mott products and solutions for filtration initiatives.
• Develop and implement a business development plan tailored to process systems.
• Enter refineries, chemical manufacturers, biopharma companies, and nuclear projects.
• Work in conjunction with process engineers, maintenance engineers, consultants, and engineering firms to secure product specifications.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at targeted operators, engineering companies, and project integrators.
• Oversee the entire project-cycle sales process from identifying opportunities to qualification, testing, proposal, negotiation, and closure.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on filtration applications and assist in technical design discussions.
• Utilize CRM tools like Netsuite to monitor opportunities, forecast, and document project progress.
• Establish a qualified pipeline worth $100M and grow it annually.
• Achieve a firm proposal win rate exceeding 40% and enhance it each year.
• Secure 5–10 new strategic accounts each year that yield multi-year project opportunities.
• Meet the annual booking target and increase orders by 10% year over year.
• Represent Mott at industry conferences and events.
• Exemplify Mott and IDEX values: Team, Trust, and Excellence.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in B2B sales or business development, emphasizing process systems, the energy sector, or filtration solutions.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, long-cycle project sales (6–18 months).
• Proven history of networking with engineers, buyers, and end-users.
• Capability to read and interpret process specifications, datasheets, and 2D/3D layouts.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Remote work available in one of the major cities in the US.
• Strong presentation abilities with the capacity to explain technical products to a variety of stakeholders.
• Familiarity with CRM tools such as Netsuite.
