This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and pursue new clients for the pharmaceutical storage sector within the Mid-Atlantic region.
• Serve as the primary contact for customer business relations from initial outreach to finalizing new business agreements.
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling initiatives to current pharmaceutical storage clients and across other Alcami service lines.
• Oversee client relationships for active pharmaceutical storage customers.
• Ensure seamless delivery of services from the signing of proposals through to project implementation.
• Achieve or surpass sales objectives by establishing new accounts and upselling additional services.
• Work together with sales team members to pinpoint clients who require services available at other Alcami facilities.
• Cultivate a thorough understanding of client pipelines and previous Alcami interactions to spot upselling chances.
• Engage in client visits, discussions for new business, and business review meetings as necessary.
• Keep precise customer information in Salesforce and produce timely activity reports and performance metrics.
• Carry out other assigned tasks as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences discipline or relevant experience in selling GMP storage services.
• A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a customer-facing role within Life Sciences.
• Previous sales experience is preferred.
• Strong customer service abilities are essential.
• Experience with CMO or CDMO is preferred.
• Familiarity with cGMP and the drug development process through coursework or prior employment is preferred.
• Prior exposure to pharmaceutical or CDMO business functions is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are mandatory.
• Outstanding customer service and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is required.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities are necessary.
• Results-driven, determined, and self-motivated mindset.
• Comfort and capability to engage in difficult discussions with clients regarding timelines, budgets, and unforeseen outcomes.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
• Ability to use the internet and social media tools for identifying potential leads is essential.
• Technologically inclined with the ability to quickly learn a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is necessary.
• Previous experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, is preferred.
• Exposure to value-based selling and negotiation strategies is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time is expected.
• Capability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
