This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and implement the business development strategy aimed at generating, qualifying, and securing new consulting engagements within the pharma, biotech, medical device, and healthcare sectors.
• Develop and oversee a steady pipeline of high-quality opportunities that align with revenue goals and growth targets.
• Achieve quarterly and annual revenue objectives through consultative selling and fostering long-term account relationships.
• Establish trusted relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders.
• Enhance existing accounts through repeat business, cross-functional services, and multi-project collaborations.
• Facilitate client discovery sessions and deliver customized capability presentations and solution strategies.
• Manage proposal development tasks, including responses to RFPs/RFIs, Statements of Work (SOWs), pricing strategies, and coordination with internal subject matter experts.
• Initiate and oversee pre-sales documentation processes, such as NDAs/CDAs, MSAs, and SOWs.
• Lead negotiations and finalize contracts in accordance with business and margin goals.
• Create demos, marketing materials, and capability presentations that showcase Pharmavise's strengths.
• Position Pharmavise as a compliant and high-value small business subcontractor to primary contractors, CROs, CMOs, and large consulting firms.
• Support partnership-driven initiatives where Pharmavise provides specialized GxP expertise in larger programs.
• Stay informed on life sciences market trends, regulatory influences, and competitor activities to uncover new opportunities.
• Contribute subject-matter insights and ideas for Pharmavise content, including LinkedIn posts, blogs, webinars, and newsletters.
• Maintain precise documentation of leads, opportunities, proposals, and forecasts in the CRM system.
• Provide visibility into the sales pipeline and metrics to assist leadership in decision-making.
• Oversee and mentor the Business Development team.
• Promote a collaborative environment that fosters professional growth and development.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO and internal subject matter experts.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline.
• 5-8 years of experience in business development, B2B sales, or account management within the life sciences sector.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in business development management.
• Strong expertise in proposal writing and managing client relationships is highly desired.
• Proven track record of closing complex, consultative deals and consistently meeting or surpassing revenue targets.
• Extensive experience in proposal development and managing the complete sales cycle.
• Comprehensive understanding of the life sciences industry, with experience engaging pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotech clients.
• Willingness to travel across the US for client meetings, conferences, and relationship-building.
• Solid grasp of life sciences settings, including GxP, Quality, Regulatory, Engineering/MSAT, or Clinical Operations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical subject matter experts to convert client requirements into customized solutions.
• Demonstrated capability to engage senior-level stakeholders with confidence and credibility.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Highly self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable in a lean, high-accountability atmosphere.
• Experience utilizing LinkedIn and CRM tools to aid in pipeline development and account-based sales.
