This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
β’ Create and implement a sales and market penetration strategy for eBooks, Journals, and Open Access spanning 1 to 3 years in Brazil and Latin America.
β’ Enhance Open Research revenue by actively engaging with key prospects and institutions.
β’ Meet and surpass annual sales goals, focusing primarily on acquiring new business.
β’ Identify and explore new customers and business development opportunities throughout the region.
β’ Conduct regular sales visits and calls to new and potential clients.
β’ Establish and sustain a strong sales pipeline to ensure ongoing growth and market expansion.
β’ Develop professional connections with key institutions, funders, and research centers.
β’ Interact with stakeholders at conferences and during presentations to elevate Taylor & Francis Group's status within the Open Research community.
β’ Foster relationships with decision-makers at academic institutions, government agencies, and healthcare organizations.
β’ Successfully enter new institutional accounts and position Taylor & Francis as a preferred partner in Open Research.
β’ Maintain a profitable balance between pursuing new revenue opportunities and exploring emerging markets.
β’ 5-7 years of demonstrated success in new business development and sales, with a focus on hunting.
β’ Proven history of surpassing sales targets and effectively converting prospects into customers.
β’ Strong understanding of academic publishing, the Open Research landscape, and the broader book trade.
β’ Experience in open access, journals, and eBook sales within academic library markets is highly desirable.
β’ Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English is required, with the capability to conduct business negotiations and presentations in all three languages.
β’ Exceptional consultative and hunter sales skills, with a knack for identifying opportunities and generating demand.
β’ Strong commercial insight, including budget management and achievement of revenue targets.
β’ Ability to analyze intricate information and make data-driven decisions.
β’ Proven capability to work independently and proactively, prioritizing high-value opportunities.
β’ Professional demeanor with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
β’ Results-driven mindset focused on surpassing sales objectives.
β’ Must possess the right to reside and work in Brazil.
β’ 50% travel is anticipated.
