This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Accountable for the sales of the Eurofins Discovery portfolio, which includes chemistry and pharmacology products and services within the designated territory or region, aiming to meet the sales targets for that area.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of the drug discovery process and effectively sell the portfolio to the US client base.
• Identify and reach out to potential clients who require products or services for drug discovery.
• Cultivate and maintain client relationships through various collaborative methods, including regular face-to-face meetings.
• Offer recommendations and insights for operational strategies necessary to fulfill client requirements.
• Create and document business plans for the territory and region that outline how sales targets will be achieved.
• Regularly update the sales plans.
• Report on competitor activities observed within the region and globally.
• Provide monthly reports against key metrics as established.
• Actively utilize the company CRM, ensuring that information is current and complete.
• Develop collaborative relationships with senior leaders of Eurofins Discovery companies to support their business and gain insights into the industry.
• Understand and leverage various resources within Eurofins Discovery to achieve sales goals.
• Maintain a high degree of technical and application knowledge of Chemistry services for drug discovery and development, using this expertise to meet sales objectives.
• Promote and uphold high levels of customer satisfaction, including providing 24-hour response times to inquiries.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing to design and implement regional strategies that promote the portfolio and enhance the Eurofins Discovery brand.
• Effectively utilize sales and marketing channels such as the website, ecommerce, and marketplaces, while actively participating in customer events like webinars, tradeshows, and on-site events.
• Achieve effectiveness in presentations to clients and internal teams.
• Provide analysis and feedback to refine, adjust, or expand the portfolio and marketing strategies.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30-40% of the time, primarily within the territory.
• Minimum of 3 years of sales experience with a strong grasp of drug discovery, particularly discovery chemistry.
• Must reside within the designated territory.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, pharmacology, or a related field is required.
• Experience with products and services related to drug discovery.
• Excellent understanding of the pharmaceutical drug discovery and development process.
• Familiarity with or previous experience in the CRO market, along with a proven capability to analyze and respond to global business trends to advance regional business development efforts.
• Strong presentation skills.
• A collaborative approach to working with various internal stakeholders.
• Ability to travel internationally on a limited basis for training and customer audits.
