This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Build and oversee national pipelines for prospective SMEs, employers, post-secondary institutions, incubators, accelerators, and other partner organizations.
• Identify and engage employers and institutional partners through proactive outreach, referrals, networking, and events.
• Cultivate relationships with business networks, industry associations, chambers of commerce, and other scalable channels.
• Articulate Venture for Canada’s value proposition to generate interest among qualified employers and participants.
• Sell bulk program seats and white-label Venture for Canada programming.
• Drive institutional business development from initial outreach through presentations, proposals, negotiations, and closing deals.
• Create and deliver webinars, presentations, and information sessions.
• Attend events related to business, industry, post-secondary education, entrepreneurship, and recruitment.
• Monitor referrals, enrollments, institutional sales, revenue, conversion rates, lead sources, and channel performance.
• Maintain precise CRM records and actionable pipelines.
• Provide reports and forecasts against acquisition objectives.
• Establish repeatable business development processes and playbooks.
• Collaborate with Programs, Marketing, Student Programs, and leadership teams.
• Share insights on employers and the market while referring opportunities to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
• 3–5+ years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or a similar role.
• Proven success in building a pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting and converting prospects into measurable outcomes.
• Experience in developing new business relationships from initial prospecting through qualification and hand-off or closure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and relationship-building capabilities.
• Strong skills in CRM and pipeline management, with the ability to use data for prioritizing activities and enhancing conversions.
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Strong sense of ownership and initiative, with the ability to independently build a pipeline and advance opportunities.
• Willingness to travel and participate in external events as required.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in Canada at the time of application.
• Employment sponsorship and work permit application assistance are not available.
• Experience working with SMEs, entrepreneurs, or business owners is highly preferred.
• Experience in developing or leveraging channel relationships, referral networks, associations, or other scalable customer acquisition strategies is an asset.
• Familiarity with Canada’s entrepreneurship, small business, economic development, workforce development, or innovation landscape is beneficial.
• Proficiency in French is considered a strong advantage.
• Remote position within a remote-first organization.
• Minimal in-person attendance required for program-related events during evenings and weekends.
