This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership and drive growth in a portfolio comprising over 12 established TPA, health plan, and associated healthcare administration client relationships.
• Formulate market strategies and detailed business plans in collaboration with clients.
• Seek out large account opportunities while enhancing membership and revenue growth across various products.
• Negotiate and finalize B-to-B contracts.
• Introduce new products and initiatives to the market.
• Keep clients updated on market trends.
• Collaborate with implementation resources and team members to ensure successful product implementation and growth.
• Partner with new TPAs and New Business Development Leads during their initial year.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Payer Solutions, Cigna, and Evernorth products and services.
• Facilitate product education and foster connections with strategic partners, including BRQ.
• Work alongside sales effectiveness teams, presale analysts, legal, product teams, existing business development, local market leaders, operations, and implementation teams.
• Keep matrix partners updated on payer strategies, incentives, and exceptions.
• Adhere to sales processes and guidelines outlined in the Sales Playbook.
• Utilize Salesforce.com to monitor opportunity status.
• Refer to the Sales Tool Box on CKit and the Business Development Team Site on SharePoint.
• A bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience; prior experience in the health insurance sector is preferred.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
• Ability to understand product value propositions and convey them effectively to clients.
• Proficient in identifying, mitigating, and escalating risks and issues.
• Strong background in contract negotiation, influencing stakeholders, and managing business-to-business relationships.
• Experience in delivering formal presentations, including complex finalist presentations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engagement with clients, leadership, and matrix partners.
• Financial acumen, with the ability to apply financial and insurance underwriting concepts.
• Effective team player with experience collaborating across multiple matrix partners.
• Self-driven and motivated individual.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com is advantageous.
• Must have easy access to an airport and be willing to travel 20%-30% of the time.
• For remote work, a cable broadband or fiber optic internet connection with at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speed is required.
