Business Development Executive – Higher Ed

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Drive revenue growth for Infobase within a designated geographic area.

• Engage potential customers to showcase the advantages of Infobase products and secure new subscriptions and cross-sale agreements.

• Establish and nurture professional relationships with key stakeholders to identify needs, develop tailored solutions, and finalize sales agreements.

• Cultivate client relationships throughout all phases of the sales cycle, including initiation, contract negotiation, and closing stages.

• Identify prospective customers via market research and strategic planning initiatives.

• Formulate and implement strategies to acquire new business and cross-sell services to current clients.

• Design lead generation and conversion strategies.

• Reach out to new and existing clients through phone calls, email campaigns, Zoom meetings, social media, conferences, and events.

• Address customer needs and concerns effectively.

• Exhibit comprehensive product knowledge and its value proposition.

• Create solutions that effectively address customer challenges.

• Negotiate pricing and contractual terms.

• Ensure agreements meet both customer expectations and organizational objectives.

• Develop and maintain detailed customer contact lists.

• Regularly update CRM contact information.

• Promote collaboration with internal and external partners and teams throughout the organization.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Sales, Account Management, or a similar role, preferably within the education technology sector.

• The ideal candidate will possess experience with electronic resources in library settings.

• Comprehensive understanding of products and industry trends.

• Demonstrated ability to generate leads, convert prospects, and negotiate advantageous terms.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with customers and articulating product value.

• Proficiency in CRM tools for maintaining accurate contact lists and managing customer interactions and forecasting business.

• Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate and sustain relationships with customers and cross-functional teams.

• Commitment to understanding customer needs and providing solutions with appropriate products or services.

• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and goals, with the agility to adapt to evolving market conditions.
