This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +8 more states.
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of territory and account strategies to enhance sales performance.
• Propel profitable growth and meet or surpass Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets.
• Acquire new products, expand services, and increase wallet share for current biotech clients.
• Engage in consultative selling throughout the complete sales process, from initial outreach to negotiation and contract finalization.
• Aid in the development and closure of commercial opportunities, quotes, and contracts.
• Recognize and pursue opportunities within designated accounts and potential clients.
• Generate demand by aligning solutions with customer needs and challenges.
• Implement territory sales strategies and contribute to growth objectives in the territory.
• Establish and sustain a robust, actionable sales pipeline.
• Ensure accurate forecasting and adhere to SFDC practices.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with stakeholders across assigned accounts.
• Grasp customer structures, decision-makers, and industry dynamics.
• Articulate Thermo Fisher’s value as a cohesive solutions partner.
• Track competitive activities and adjust strategies to address potential threats.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with subject matter experts, operations, finance, and legal to provide solutions.
• Participate in customer meetings, events, and site tours.
• Advocate for customer experience with urgency, integrity, and accountability.
• Provide insights to enhance customer experience and internal processes.
• Work with internal teams to address customer requirements and sales goals.
• 3-5 years of experience in field sales or business development with quota responsibilities.
• Prior experience in sales, deal structuring, and relationship management.
• Familiarity with sales in a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO).
• Background in one or more of the following drug modalities: Steriles, Solid Dosage, Biologics, Cell Therapy, Viral Vector, and API (significant advantage).
• Strong analytical abilities, including financial acumen.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience managing sales opportunities and customer relationships in a matrix environment.
• Proven track record of advancing opportunities through a consultative sales approach.
• Strong commercial insight with experience in shaping solutions and influencing deal results.
• Effective communicator with executive presence and proficient negotiation skills.
• Highly competitive, self-motivated, and results-oriented mindset.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with limited structure.
• Availability to travel up to 50 percent to meet customers and showcase Thermo Fisher facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences discipline is mandatory.
