This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Analyze the operational priorities of the US Navy and align fleet requirements with tactical radio solutions.
• Assist in technical planning, network configuration, and the live execution of field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering by utilizing continuous testing and competitive benchmarking data.
• Coordinate with Business Development to address technical needs and strategic objectives.
• Develop and deliver technical demonstrations focused on maritime operational edge networking.
• Provide technical insights and review support for RFI/RFP proposal submissions.
• Conduct market research to uncover industry integrations and evaluate end-to-end network architectures.
• Engage with technical stakeholders across NAVWAR, PEO C4I, NAVAIR/NAVSEA, ONR, and NIWC.
• Collect fleet feedback and maritime requirements, convert them into inputs for the product roadmap, and monitor engineering progress.
• Travel frequently, up to 50%, for field tests, customer meetings, events, and demonstrations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of proven experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR a High School Diploma/GED with over 5 years of pertinent technical or defense experience.
• Knowledge of or experience with Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the capacity to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug test is required.
• Basic understanding of US Navy tactical organizations or unmanned systems.
• Hands-on experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux environments, or scripting languages such as Python or C++ for test automation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts.
• Ability to work efficiently in a remote team environment.
• Capability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
