This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Meet annual sales objectives and targets for designated accounts and/or regions.
• Build, maintain, and enhance client relationships at suitable levels.
• Facilitate client meetings, including proposal bid defenses and capability presentations.
• Organize client visits and meetings.
• Identify and prioritize clients within assigned accounts/territory using available resources and data.
• Collaborate with sales team members, subject matter experts, operational partners, and executives to secure multi-unit projects.
• Create account strategies and partnerships with key accounts.
• Set and manage customer expectations effectively.
• Oversee opportunity pipelines and deliver precise forecasting.
• Submit weekly activity reports to management.
• Develop client call cycles, follow up on leads, and implement sales strategies.
• Utilize Salesforce to record customer details, visits, account strategies, and decisions.
• Provide pricing insights and competitive intelligence to optimize margins and achieve targeted win rates.
• Assess client RFIs, RFPs, proposals, and budgets, offering input to fulfill client and company needs.
• Promote Labcorp’s environmental and human safety services within current and emerging Crop Protection and Chemicals market segments.
• Enhance customer experience and satisfaction with Labcorp's environmental safety and toxicology services.
• Regularly collaborate with operations, finance, marketing, regulatory, commercial support, scientific affairs, Inside Sales, and subject matter experts.
• Participate in conferences, customer visits, and Labcorp laboratory sites, with expected travel of 40–50%.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5 years of sales experience in selling scientific products/services directly to Crop Protection and Chemical or pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, with direct engagement with mid-level and executive decision makers.
• 4 or more years of experience in a genuine “hunter” business development or sales position, with direct accountability for prospecting, generating new business opportunities, acquiring new clients, and advancing opportunities through the sales cycle.
• 1 or more years of experience using CRM platforms, including Salesforce or similar systems, to manage customer relationships, opportunities, pipeline activities, and sales forecasting.
• 1 or more years of experience utilizing AI-driven sales tools and technologies to assist in prospecting, lead identification and prioritization, customer engagement, and sales efficiency.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent client engagement, retention, and customer advocacy capabilities.
• Ability to leverage market and industry insights to identify and exploit sales growth opportunities.
• Working knowledge of the crop protection and chemical industry.
• Capability to effectively manage difficult client and/or financial situations.
• Ability to communicate and distinguish Labcorp’s value proposition from that of competitors.
• Proven ability to cultivate strong working relationships with internal management and site leadership.
• Master’s degree preferred.
