
Business Development Director, Biospecimen

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identifies prospects for Biospecimen products and services, focusing on biofluids, prospective collections, tissues, cells, and other specialty and central lab service offerings.
• Develops and sustains relationships and organizational maps for assigned and newly identified Key Clients.
• Retain and enhance the existing account base by recognizing new opportunities and investigating potential cross-selling within the Precision Translational Sciences portfolio.
• Follow up on all marketing leads and website inquiries to qualify potential leads.
• Seek out new clients, as necessary, within the designated geographic market to ensure a strong pipeline of opportunities.
• Identify prospective clients and decision-makers within the client organization, conduct needs analysis, pinpoint opportunities, and follow up with potential customers.
• Ensure that any client issues are directed to the appropriate individual(s) and resolved in a timely and professional manner.
• Secure new business and strengthen existing business relationships.
• Connect Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other Business Developers (BDs) where added value to the client can be provided.
• Foster a solid working relationship with marketing, clinical operations, lab operations, project management, and other internal stakeholders.
• Qualify and enrich inbound leads.
• Close business deals and develop future recurring business organically.
• Participate in conferences, trade shows, and meetings as required.
• Maintain accurate customer relationship management metrics in Salesforce.com and other CRM systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
• 1-2 years of sales experience in the Life Science or Healthcare industry OR
• 3+ years of Laboratory Research, Service, Clinical Operations, or customer support experience in the Life Science industry.
• A team player who is willing to collaborate and share knowledge.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and create plans to achieve personal goals.
• Capacity to think creatively and strategically while acting tactically in a dynamic environment.
• Proven track record of progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
• Strong command of basic Life Science terminology and its applications.
• Must be self-directed and self-motivated to work at a highly technical level.
• Willingness to travel within the territory up to 35%.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license allowing you to drive in the state(s) where you operate.
• Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally, including overnight stays.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking fluently, and comprehending the English language.
