This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Represent P1 at software, M&A, and industry conferences throughout the US, attending approximately 1–3 events each month.
• Organize events, including creating attendee target lists, scheduling pre-booked meetings, and developing follow-up strategies.
• Establish and maintain relationships with investment bankers, M&A advisors, brokers, and business owners.
• Keep intermediaries updated on P1's investment criteria.
• Maintain communication with founders and corporate development teams on the watch list.
• Cultivate long-lasting relationships with potential sellers and intermediaries.
• Generate qualified acquisition opportunities, including proprietary deals, carve-outs, and banker-led initiatives.
• Conduct initial screening discussions with sellers and advisors.
• Collect information for the deal team and pass along qualified opportunities to the investment team.
• Remain engaged in early interactions with sellers.
• Oversee and maintain the CRM pipeline.
• Provide weekly reports on pipeline status, conversion rates, and relationship activities.
• Refine outreach messaging, target lists, and intermediary coverage based on market feedback.
• Report directly to the senior deal team / Managing Partner.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in sales, business development, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or a related finance role.
• Proven track record of building relationships that have generated revenue or deal flow, and consistently meeting activity or pipeline targets.
• Comfortable analyzing a P&L, understanding recurring revenue metrics, and discussing valuation with bankers or founders.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Confident and credible when interacting with bankers, founders, and executives.
• Strong written communication skills with a focus on clarity and disciplined follow-up.
• Well-organized and capable of independently managing a multi-event travel calendar and CRM pipeline.
• Able to quickly qualify opportunities and articulate fit to the deal team.
• Comfortable working autonomously and remotely with a small team across different time zones.
• Willing and able to travel frequently within the US.
• Existing network of software bankers, advisors, or brokers is preferred.
• Previous M&A experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with enterprise software or SaaS is preferred.
• Experience with corporate carve-outs or divestiture processes is preferred.
• Performance bonus linked to qualified deal flow and successfully closed transactions.
