This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Actively seek out, engage, and convert new clients through outbound efforts, networking, and participation in industry events.
• Establish a robust pipeline of potential clients and transform them into long-term partnerships.
• Contribute towards achieving predetermined new business revenue objectives.
• Oversee and expand a portfolio of current client accounts as the main point of contact.
• Cultivate trustworthy relationships with key stakeholders.
• Spot opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding accounts.
• Conduct regular virtual and in-person reviews of accounts.
• Monitor account health and mitigate churn risks in collaboration with other teams.
• Generate leads through cold calls, email outreach, and social selling via LinkedIn.
• Investigate target companies and identify decision-makers within specified verticals and territories.
• Schedule and conduct both virtual and in-person meetings with new business prospects.
• Create and deliver customized sales presentations and proposals.
• Manage the sales process from initial contact to closing, negotiation, and contract signing.
• Maintain a precisely forecasted new business pipeline within the CRM.
• Represent the organization at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
• Coordinate prospect and client meetings around event schedules.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor actions, and market changes.
• Build a network within the industry to facilitate long-term business growth.
• Keep accurate records in the CRM, including account plans and revenue forecasts.
• Provide management with updates on pipeline, forecasts, and account performance.
• Contribute to sales and marketing strategies using insights from the market and client feedback.
• Proven background in a dual account management and business development/sales position, preferably in B2B.
• Demonstrated success in meeting or surpassing targets for new business and account growth.
• Comfort and resilience in cold calling and proactive outbound prospecting.
• Strong skills in building relationships with stakeholders at various levels, including senior decision-makers.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Confidence in presenting to clients and potential customers.
• Highly organized and self-driven.
• Capacity to manage diverse workloads independently in a remote setting.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently for client meetings and trade shows/events, including occasional overnight stays.
• Valid and clean UK driving licence.
• Experience in Sofco’s specific industry, such as supply chain in the Food & Beverage and Retail sectors (preferred).
• Proficiency in CRM systems, particularly HubSpot (preferred).
• Existing network of contacts within relevant target verticals (preferred).
• Experience in exhibiting at or coordinating attendance for trade shows (preferred).
