This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Identify and seek out new business opportunities with federal departments, government-owned corporations, and related agencies.
• Build and nurture relationships with senior decision-makers, program leaders, and procurement stakeholders.
• Collaborate with ecosystem partners, systems integrators, and government contractors to create a robust pipeline.
• Formulate territory plans and account strategies that are customized to each agency’s mission, budget cycle, and transformation objectives.
• Align the capabilities of Extreme Networks with government priorities such as cybersecurity, secure access, remote connectivity, and infrastructure resilience.
• Oversee the complete sales lifecycle from lead generation to negotiation and contract finalization.
• Maintain precise pipeline forecasts and opportunity records utilizing the company’s customer relationship management platform.
• Work in tandem with technical teams to develop and present solution demonstrations and proposals.
• Collaborate with marketing, channel, and services teams to enhance campaigns, events, and integrated sales efforts.
• Navigate and operate within Australian Federal Government procurement regulations, supplier engagement protocols, and ethical standards.
• Prepare responses to official requests for tender and participate in pre-tender positioning when appropriate.
• Spearhead growth initiatives within the Australian Federal Government and its affiliated agencies.
• A minimum of 5 years and up to 10 years of experience in business development, account management, or enterprise sales roles.
• At least 3 years of experience directly engaging with Australian Federal Government clients, preferably in technology, infrastructure, or cybersecurity sectors.
• Proven success in meeting or surpassing sales targets in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Strong business acumen with the capability to communicate value propositions to both technical and executive audiences.
• High level of professionalism and the ability to function in sensitive or confidential public sector settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a matrixed sales and technical organization.
• Australian citizenship is mandatory.
• Possession of an active Australian Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1, or NV2) is highly desirable but not essential.
• Willingness and eligibility to obtain a security clearance in the future, if necessary.
