This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
⢠Plan, direct, and coordinate complex, enterprise-scale projects and initiatives related to revenue cycle, hospital and clinic operations, information technology, and business strategy.
⢠Implement project plans utilizing best practices in project management.
⢠Ensure the achievement of project goals, metrics, ROI targets, compliance, and governance requirements.
⢠Identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost reductions throughout the Houston Methodist system.
⢠Facilitate change management by effectively communicating project details, timelines, objectives, and expectations to stakeholders.
⢠Lead, coach, and inspire project team members, including both leadership and frontline staff.
⢠Validate work plans, responsibilities, scope of authority, staffing needs, and resource distribution.
⢠Plan and organize project life cycles for small to medium-sized initiatives.
⢠Shadow and engage in assigned areas or projects to collect information about personnel, processes, and priorities.
⢠Prepare reports for management, clients, and other stakeholders.
⢠Collaborate with Internal Audit and Business Practices to ensure regulatory compliance and formulate risk mitigation strategies.
⢠Uphold standards for the Internal Consulting team and departmental processes.
⢠Develop methodologies to guarantee compliance with regulations and policies.
⢠Propel project performance towards financial and process improvement results, including ROI and project KPIs.
⢠Identify optimization opportunities that yield positive financial outcomes.
⢠Assist the Senior Strategy Consultant and leadership in improvement initiatives and the standardization of business and operational processes.
⢠A bachelor's degree in business, nursing, or a related field is required.
⢠An MHA, MBA, MSN, or related degree is preferred.
⢠Five years of experience in implementing and supporting complex medium- to enterprise-scale projects, ideally in a healthcare setting.
⢠Three years of experience with a master's degree.
⢠PMP certification is preferred.
⢠Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.
⢠Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
⢠Extensive background in grievance management, mediation, conflict negotiation, and crisis intervention.
⢠Capability to independently resolve complex patient relations issues.
⢠Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and mature judgment.
⢠Knowledge of medical ethics and legal matters, including Advance Directives, Ethics Committee, Patient Bills of Rights, federal and state laws, and Joint Commission standards.
⢠Ability to utilize measurement tools, integrate data, and generate meaningful reports.
⢠Intermediate to advanced understanding of medical terminology.
⢠Basic to intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare information systems.
⢠Willingness to travel within and beyond the Houston Metropolitan area.
⢠Availability to participate in on-call coverage during emergencies.
⢠Remote or hybrid work arrangement.
⢠Business professional work attire.
⢠On-call pay/eligibility as indicated by emergency on-call requirements.
