This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Build, nurture, and manage relationships with a portfolio of small business clients.
• Create a pipeline for new business opportunities and enhance BMO’s market presence.
• Formulate and implement sales strategies aimed at attracting new business clients while growing existing relationships.
• Establish internal and external networks along with referral sources.
• Generate appointments and opportunities through targeted sales initiatives.
• Develop, maintain, and execute plans for business and relationship management.
• Identify potential customers and promote cross-selling of additional products and services.
• Foster client rapport, credibility, and trust.
• Gain insights into the local market and cultivate relationships with key influencers.
• Provide exceptional customer service, delivering expertise and responsive support.
• Increase wallet share within the assigned client portfolio.
• Address inquiries and provide information regarding business banking products and services.
• Understand client needs and propose financial solutions.
• Resolve issues or escalate them as necessary.
• Develop solutions and recommendations that align with business strategies and stakeholder requirements.
• Offer advice and guidance on the implementation of solutions.
• Analyze data and information to deliver insights and recommendations.
• Monitor and evaluate performance while addressing any issues that arise.
• Oversee database management in accordance with data governance standards.
• Create change management plans and lead or participate in related activities.
• Contribute to operational program planning and its implementation.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and efficient service delivery.
• Support the development and promotion of business/group programs.
• Adhere to security, safeguarding, fraud prevention, confidentiality, risk management, and regulatory procedures.
• Make informed, risk-aware decisions that align with business strategies and relevant policies, laws, and regulations.
• Typically, 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• A post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong financial analysis abilities.
• Proficiency in interpreting financial statements.
• Skill in assessing creditworthiness.
• Comprehensive knowledge of business banking products, lending processes, loan documentation, and associated policies and technologies.
• Significant experience in customer sales and service.
• Technical proficiency acquired through education and/or professional experience.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
• Robust collaboration and team-oriented skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
