Business Analyst – ServiceNow, High Level Clearance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Conduct sessions to gather and refine requirements with both business and technical stakeholders.

• Capture business needs in the form of user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, business rules, and relevant documentation.

• Evaluate existing workflows to discover opportunities for automation, simplification, and enhancements in service.

• Aid in the configuration and improvement of ServiceNow by documenting and clarifying business rules, approvals, workflow logic, and anticipated outcomes.

• Collaborate with developers and testers to clarify requirements, assist in the development of test cases, and support user acceptance testing.

• Manage backlog items and associated documentation using Agile tracking tools.

• Assist with coordination among stakeholders, planning for releases, validation processes, and readiness initiatives.

• Provide support for reporting, metrics, and process documentation as necessary.

• Effectively communicate requirements, decisions, open questions, and status updates across delivery, operations, and customer teams.

• Recognize gaps in requirements, dependencies, and risks, while escalating issues that need resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, public administration, or a related discipline.

• Over 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in supporting software, workflow, or enterprise system initiatives.

• More than 3 years of experience working within an Agile framework such as Scrum or Kanban.

• At least 3 years of experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting ServiceNow or a comparable enterprise workflow platform.

• Capability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and supporting requirements documentation.

• Proven experience in collaborating with product owners, developers, testers, technical leads, and business stakeholders.

• Familiarity with Agile collaboration tools such as ServiceNow Agile Development, Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Must hold an active Secret clearance.

• Candidate must live and work within the U.S.

• Experience with ServiceNow modules including ITSM, CSM, App Engine, HRSD, or ITOM.

• Understanding of workflow automation, service management, and enterprise service delivery concepts.

• Experience with process mapping tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.

• Experience in supporting UAT, release validation, or test coordination.

• Familiarity with federal IT or government contracting environments.

• Experience in supporting documentation, training, or change management initiatives.
